Classic FTP is a file transfer client for uploading, downloading, and managing your files on a remote server.
The program has an intuitive interface and is very easy to use. To start working with the program, firstly, you will need to add the address of the FTP server you want to upload files to, or download files from it to your PC. And then, all you will need to do, is select a file and send it to the server or to your PC with a click of a button, or by dragging and dropping it to appropriate window (Windows Explorer <<0>> Classic FTP ).
The program can also synchronize your local and remote files, it provides a "Mirror" tool that can scan a certain folder on your PC and the corresponding folder on the server for the identical files, and in case the remote folder does not contain all the files included in the local folder the client will upload missing files to the folder on the server.
Classic FTP also allows you to set some options; for example, you will be able to choose whether you want the client to retry FTP connection up to five times if the first connection failed, as well as replace the spaces in the uploaded file name by underscores, and more.
The most pleasant thing about the Classic FTP is that the developers provide it for free, though they also provide a paid version called Classic FTP plus, which supports SSL and allows you to add unlimited number of sites. As for me, the free version is great and plenty, and I am gladly using it.
